Trakkers is offering a weekend trip to Algonquin Park for our members and their guests this coming winter.

Blue Spruce Cottages are reserved for Trakkers for the nights of Friday, Feb. 6th and Saturday, Feb. 7th, 2026. Four cottages are reserved for up to 21 guests.

Cost is $225 pp for members and $255 for guests of participating members. We are offering one room with single occupancy for a supplement of $100, on a first come first served basis.

Blue Spruce Cottages are located east of Huntsville, on Hwy 60. Algonquin Park is a little further east.

Accommodations:

All cottages are well kept and well equipped.  There is a fully equipped kitchen. Bedding and ample towels are provided.  The 3 bedroom cottages have two bathrooms and the 2 bedroom cottages have one bathroom.  All have some twin beds.

All have a nice living room area, and wood fireplace with one starter log. Propane BBQ outside.

Blue Spruce Resort has its own well-groomed and track-set trail system (classic).  They have an ice Skating rink out on the lake (cleared, flooded and lit), and toboggan run.

At Algonquin Park, they have an excellent trail system, groomed and track set, which is never too busy. Part way around the West Gate trails, they have a heated cabin for your lunch.  Snowshoeing can be done anywhere you like.

Arrowhead Provincial Park (the ONLY place up there for skate-skiing) is near Huntsville and restaurants are around there, too.

Check the Provincial Park system ahead of time as they have an online registration protocol, to be paid ahead of time. When you sign up for this weekend, you’ll be provided with all the information you’ll need. Ski or snowshoe rental is available across the street from Blue Spruce at the Algonquin Outfitters (also in Arrowhead Park, if you go there).

Participants must make their own travel arrangements. You may want to take Friday off to extend your weekend, so check with your ride.

Please NOTE that it’s best to reserve your spot as soon as possible, no later than November 5th, 2025 when we will release any un-booked cottages.

Located in the center of Silver Star Mountain Resort, you will find our boutique hotel. Ski right to and from your door and stay close to shopping and restaurants in the heart of Silver Star Village. In addition, we offer a wide variety of vacation homes in various locations throughout the mountain with private hot tubs and ski in/out access.

One Bedroom Suites: These suites contain a full kitchen with breakfast bar and stools, a living room area with a queen sleeper sofa including a separate alcove bedroom with two queen beds and a full bathroom.

If any of the group members book their own air independently, they will be responsible for finding their own way to the resort and back to the airport unless their flights coincide with the group transfers.

PHOTO ID is a requirement to board all aircraft.

Payment Terms:

By Nov. 17th, 2025 - Deposit of $500.00 per person + insurance (optional but highly recommended)

By Jan. 21st, 2026 - Balance of payment is due

Cancellation Policy: All payments, including deposits, fees and balance of payment, are nonrefundable. If you cancel and a replacement is found, you will be refunded the amount paid less any non-refundable fees.

Travel Insurance: Skican strongly recommends the purchase of trip cancellation insurance to protect non-refundable deposits and payments in the event participants are  forced to cancel their vacation for medical reasons.

Surcharges: All applicable taxes in effect at time of this contract have been included in the package price, however, Skican reserves the right to adjust the package price in the event of unanticipated increases such as fuel or new departure taxes.

Non-Refundable Fees not included in standard package: Cancellation of the trip for any reason results in the forfeiture of the following fees which are not included in the standard trip package: 

• Insurance Premiums
• Substitutions or name changes within 45 days of departure - $175.00 per change. 
• An administration fee of $50.00 per person for air deviations from group blocked air. 
• An administration fee of $75.00 per person for airline ticket name corrections.
