The Haliburton Highlands offers incredible Nordic skiing trails, perfect for all skill levels. From beginner-friendly loops to advanced terrain, you’ll find breathtaking winter scenery at every turn. With features like warming shelters, wildlife sightings, and rentals, these trails provide everything you need for an unforgettable winter adventure.

Other activities available:  Snowshoeing, Skating, Dog Sled Tours (to be personally booked). Rentals are available at Frost Centre, Kawartha Nordic, and Algonquin Outfitters in Haliburton Village)


Cost, based on dbl occ.:

Member: $265 per person

Member's guest: $295 per person


Accommodations:

Lakeview Motel & Resort approx. 220 km from Toronto is conveniently located 3 km from Haliburton Village, the resort offers free parking, access to hot tubs and standard hotel rooms, each equipped with 2 beds (varying in size) or a king bed. Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, breakfast table, 42-inch LCD TV, WIFI, private bathroom, hair dryers, room service.


Meals:

The resort has a restaurant onsite and provides breakfast options with advance notice.


Included in the trip cost:
  • 2-nights’ accommodation based on double occupancy
  • Access to hot tubs (exclusive to Trakkers)
  • Friday night group dinner of a salad, main and dessert (choice of 3 options 2 vegetarian and 1 non-vegetarian), tip and gratuities.


Not Included in trip cost: 
  • Transportation to/from resort from Toronto, and to/from ski trails. Participants must make their own travel arrangements. Club is not responsible for travel arrangements.
  • Breakfasts, lunches and Saturday night dinner
  • Trail fees (ranging from $13-$27 per day)


Cancellation policy:

Up to 30 days before arrival date, trip is refundable less $30 administration fee.

After less than 30 days, trip cost less $30 administration fee will be refunded, only if a replacement is found.

Dates: 

Mar. 7-11, 2027 (Sunday - Thursday) 4 nights and 4 days of skiing.*                                    

*On Thursday, bus departure will be around 3pm to allow for another day of skiing. We will have a place to store our bags and a place to change before leaving.

Accommodations: 

At the Mountain Lodge, modern conveniences and comforts are set in a rustic setting. A real escape for groups in a friendly and natural atmosphere. Reconnect with nature in a spirit of mountain life. Property has a 24 hour reception, free Wi-Fi and a games room. Amenities include outdoor hot tub, sauna, and fitness facilities.

Studio Units are open concept accommodation with a queen bed and pull-out sofa bed by the gas fireplace, full bathroom, and full kitchen.

1-Bedroom Units have 2 queen beds and pull-out sofa bed, full bathroom, and full kitchen.


Base Package:

$1975.00 - 1 Bedroom Unit, Based Upon Double Occupancy

$1765.00 - Studio Unit, Based Upon Double Occupancy

All amounts are per person.

Guests of members can join the trip for an additional $50.

Skican Terms & Conditions:

Cancellation Policy

  • All payments, including deposits, fees, and final balances, are 100% non-refundable.
  • Single Supplement charges must be covered in full.
  • Passenger Substitutions:
    • Skican allows substitution of passengers if someone is unable to travel.
    • Substitutions made more than 60 days before departureno charge   
    • All substitutions must be made by the Group Leader and are subject to availability.
  • No changes permitted within 5 business days of departure.

Cancellation Insurance

Skican strongly recommends the purchase of trip cancellation insurance to protect non-refundable deposits and payments in the event participants are forced to cancel their vacation. Trip organizers are responsible for communicating the availability of comprehensive insurance to all participants. The premium is due with the deposit.

Group Bookings

Group prices apply to groups 18 or more. Price is subject to change for groups less than 18.

Surcharges

All applicable taxes in effect at time of this contract have been included in the package price, however Skican reserves the right to adjust the package price in the event of unanticipated increases such as fuel or new departure taxes.

Administrative Fees

Refunds resulting from substitutions are subject to credit card processing fees. All payments are final and non-refundable. Where substitutions are permitted, any applicable refund will be net of credit card processing fees.

Contractual Agreement

In contracting with holiday participants, Skican undertakes to arrange the services referred to in this agreement whenever possible, but in the event Skican should find it necessary to do so, will arrange alternative services of comparable quality. With respect to services provided, Skican acts only as agents for carriers, hotels, ski areas and other suppliers and to that extent this contract takes effect as between the participants and the suppliers of these services, particulars of which Skican undertakes to provide for the participant on request. In selecting resort destinations, Skican chooses resorts which, historically, have long and reliable ski seasons, however Skican accepts no responsibility for actual weather and skiing conditions at time of travel. Skican accepts no responsibility for the consequences of any events beyond its control, including but not limited to strikes, lockouts, government action, weather, and travel advisories. In the event Skican finds it necessary to cancel a holiday, Skican’s liability will be limited to the refund or the provision of a credit for future travel representing all monies paid by the participant, not including any non-refundable fees identified separate of the trip package. Skican accepts no responsibility for individual incidental charges at the resort or hotel.
