Arrowhead Provincial Park (*Early Departure 8 a.m.)
https://www.ontarioparks.ca/park/arrowhead
The park is located just north of Huntsville, Ontario, on the beautiful Canadian Shield. There are a total of 31 km of groomed ski trails (28 classic and 16 skate). The park also has a 1.3 km ice skating trail, winding through the campgrounds in a loop. This trail is kept smooth by Zamboni, so think about bringing your ice skates too!
The visitor centre is used as a warm-up and lounge area. It houses the winter rentals shop equipped with skis, ice-skates and snowshoes. Washrooms are available and there are also washrooms close to the ice trail which is a 6 minute walk from the Visitor Centre. There may be fires lit outside for more warmup space. Bring your lunch and snacks for the day as the visitor centre only sells pre-packaged snacks. There are a few microwaves available. Finally, there is a brand new, fully provisioned waxing room with 5 ski forms, built in ventilation system, and really good heating so you're not freezing while you're waxing your skis.
